About

What is Gluten intolerance?

Gluten intolerance or celiac disease affects an estimated 1 in 120 Canadians. It is usually an inherited autoimmune disease in which the lining of the small intestine is damaged by gluten, a protein found in such grains as wheat, barley and rye. The only therapy for celiac disease is a gluten free diet. People with irritable bowel syndrome or autism can also have intolerance or allergic responses to gluten.

What makes our pizza crusts special?

Our pizza crust will allow individuals who have an allergic response or intolerance to not only GLUTEN, but to DAIRY, SOY, EGG and CORN to enjoy a delicious pizza while respecting their dietary regime. Along with the deletion of these allergens, our product is also GMO and PRESERVATIVE FREE. “Clean label” approach means no GMO’s, harmful chemicals or additives, artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. We source the best ingredients possible to bring you the very best we have to offer!

DiGusto’s Italian style artisan pizza crusts are “pizzaiolo” approved. Like an authentic pizza enjoyed in an Italian pizzeria, our crusts can be baked in a wood burning oven to get the true Italian gourmet pizza experience! Our mission statement is “provide allergy sufferers an opportunity to enjoy pizza without sacrificing taste or quality”. Pizza crusts are made in a dedicated gluten free facility that is in the process of certification.

Although our product and facility is clean of all allergens, we recommend that a precautionary statement be made visible to customers if your establishment carries products that are not free of allergens.

Enjoy!
